Overview

Mt.Chekigo is one of the beautiful trekking peaks of Nepal located in Gaurishankar conservation area in between the famous Khumbu and Rollwalling Valleys. This peak stands at an altitude of 6257m and has been unknown for the mountaineers for long time. The trekking permit for Mt.Chekigo Peak Climbing was issued for the first time in 2002. Mt. Chekigo is one of the rarely climbed peaks with less than 100 attempts. Mt.Chekigo Peak was first conquered by Bruce Normand, a British and Oliver Von Rotz, a Swiss together in May 15, 2005 via west face. There are many possible ways to reach to the top of the summit.
Through the trials you will enjoy the cultural blend of Hindu and Buddhist culture and the beautiful. You will also visit famous Kalinchowk Temple of Hindu religion which is also one of the famous tours destination and Biju Gompa of Buddhist religion.
